I don't know if any one is better than the other brand but I can tell you what we use and decide for yourself.
This is what wife and I take ourselves, 2-4 drops a day depending on the time of year. Less in summer, more in winter. We also get some additional D3 from a multi-vitamin so we end up getting around 8-10,000 iu's a day during the winter months.

This is what we ordered for MIL and FIL for them to take because thought a pill once a day might be easier for them than dispensing the drops. We travel a lot and the small bottle of drops packs nicely as it does not take up much space.
