Subject: RE: Testing freezer thermostat?

When mine went, it also quit cooling. I turned the thermostat all the way cold, THEN it would cool. I bought an inexpensive freezer temperature monitoring system from Amazon (wireless). The freezer turned all the way down would go from -26f to 10 above, fluctuating daily. I bought a new Amazon replacement thermostat ($15), and turned it to about halfway. It has stayed within 5 degrees of 0f since I put it on a month or so ago.

It was cheap enough that I just tried a new one and sure enough that was my problem as I suspected.
