Quebec, Canada | I’ve had an iPad mini and a regular iPad for work. If your wife is wanting to work on the tablet then go with a bigger screen.
All my personal tablets and phones have been Samsung and I’ve been happy with their build quality. They typically get software/security updates for 2-3 years after release. Apple supports their devices for longer (operating system updates for 4-5 years) and has some nice software features (like forcing apps to notify you when they access the camera) but their storage size isn’t as good (irrelevant for cloud based work and email).
There are cheap no-name-type brands out there that will sell you a big, low-resolution screen with a cheap battery. I try to stay clear of those as they need to be replaced more often and end up costing more over time. | |
