NE North Dakota | How many hours do you guys have on your 8 or 9rt tractors??? Some previous posts on here sure make a guy nervous to own one very long.
I read previous posts about the priority valve on 8rt John Deere and the damage it can cause to the rear end. I own a 8360rt with 3800 hours and this priority valve has never been touched. I currently have zero issues with the tractor. I have owned it since 1100 hours. I do plan on removing the priority valve and replacing the seals. This tractor does have an IVT and is used for planting and grain cart. The repair list since I have owned the tractor has consisted of variable fan drive repair, transmission input shaft seal and steering easy and sharp to the right but not left (steering calibration fixed this), hydraulic filter restriction sensor and scv 4 was surging (mechanic repaired). Should I be nervous owning this tractor another 3-4000 hours?
Is the priority valve a problem on the 9rt?
We own 2 9560rt. The first issue was the head gasket problem and now issues with idler tension bearings.
