My experience has been that if the corn is not fully matured drydown will come to a halt till a hard freeze occurs. Same for soybeans. If the crop is mature then it really has little affect on drydown.
On a side note, I have some corn that has only lost 3 points of mosture in the last 2 weeks. But we have close to 5 inches of rain in the same time frame. It is going to be slow going from here on. Lots of late planted corn here sill 25% or more.
