Offroad, I'm going to add this because it is important to understand.

Air leaving the dryer above ambient temperature will still condense moisture as it cools. This is what I was taught at air dryer school.
Desiccant does not remove water vapor (gas). It separates liquids from gases.
The air leaving the air dryer needs to be as close to ambient as possible. The warmer the air, the more moisture that will condense as it cools in the wet tank.

Getting air temperature to ambient can't be too critical as most air drier housings are made of steel without any means of external cooling. Mounting the air drier behind the front bumper is ideal then in your argument.
