Subject: RE: Fendt vs John Deere opinions

I don't own them but run 2-933's and a 8345r and a 8320r all are ivt or cvt. They all do similar jobs and work pretty good. The Deere's handle a little better in tighter situations and the vision is a little better. Deere's hydraulics are nicer except they don't work well with large single acting cylinders that use a lot of oil such as a dump trailer. There is a fix for that issue but haven't addressed it. The Fendt goes a little faster down the road ( about 3 mph) and has air brakes that can be used for trailers. Fuel consumption is very similar doing the same jobs. A new driver seems to figure out the Deere controls a little easier/ faster than the Fendt. The Fendt transmission has some nicer features to make it very handy. They both are good tractors so it may come down to dealer support.
