Doesn't matter if you buy it or grow it, the cost for feed is the same. Lost opportunity is just as costly as out of pocket. As a livestock producer, I can not fairly figure the corn side of the ration at my production cost of the corn. I have to figure a fair market value to give true representation to each enterprise.
