East Central Indiana | I strafed into a tall barn at full speed. Destroyed the entire air frame, both gimbal arms, and a few cables. The camera didn't even land near the body. $70 worth of parts from Aliexpress.com and several hours is all it took to fix it. It was a gamble since i had no way of knowing if the camera survived.
The hardest part was getting the new ribbon cable seated in the camera board. I used this video to rebuild the gimbal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARSL2oFHunU As he states, you have to pay close attention to how the roll gimbal is clocked during assembly. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward to completely strip and rebuild a phantom.
