Southern IL Randolph County | I finally got the thing going. My battery was a little low, so I charged it a little longer and opened the bleeder while I cranked it over and it finally fired. We have only had this tractor for a month, but it is the second time we have had an issue bleeding the system. When we took delivery of this tractor, the trucker was uncomfortable trying to make the short turn off the highway onto to our side road with his long truck and detach. We agreed to off load a couple of miles away in town, and as I was driving home I ran out of fuel. The gauge showed in the yellow zone, but surely I thought they left enough in the tank for us to get home. Wrong, ran out on a town side street and being this was our first red machine we were a little unsure on how to bleed this thing after adding fuel. Truck driver stayed with us and after all our efforts failed we had to have the local dealer come over and help get us going. All the tips that you all recommended were things that the dealer mechanic did to get things going. Today I was trying all those things too, but it finally worked after about being ready to give up. I thought I would check for some other opinions. Looks like these machines can be a bear to get going sometimes. Thanks again and hopefully it will cooperate a little more next time. |
