NW Iowa | Some good info here and some misinformation. It's called belt deflection and you do need to adjust it as recommended by loosening the 3 bolts and turning the gold cup clockwise and then retightening the bolts to force the resting width of the secondary clutch to be wider. I like to set the deflection so that when the rear of the sled is raised off the ground and the motor is running the track creeps ever so slowly forward. If the belt squawks when you're riding it and stop and let it idle, then it's too tight. Deflection is a normal maintenance thing and you should inspect and adjust every 500 miles or so.
