If its straight I wouldn't be to concerned. I was a welder for bridge building outfit that would beat their excavators all year long removing old concrete, some preheat and some 7018s would get them back going. Now I should say if there are welds across the stick then I'd worried, I've seen thumbs welded on incorrectly and they'll split right along those cross welds.
