Might be a problem at your internet provider or with your web browser. You can try this trick to see if it helps speed it up: Do a google search for newagtalk forum list. Use the google link to go to the forums. Reset your bookmark to the page that google took you to. Now close your web browser. Re-open your web browser and try again using the new bookmark.
