SW Ohio | We did exactly what you did. We got some lettered dies and some numbered. If you have the digital readout for setting depth, start making a chart for all the possible combinations of fittings and dies and hose size to get the proper crimp diameter. DHH fittings are a tad smaller than Gates. Have some hoses I made five years ago that sit outside and they are just fine today. You can use most any fitting on most any hose if you know how far to crimp, you are not married to one brand. | |
