sw corner ia. | old mechanic showed me a trick that I sometimes use (I don't like it) since I have a strap wrench kind of like wtw showed.
the trick is first poke the bottom of the filter and drain it, then drive a long sharp screwdriver through the body of the filter. now you can turn it enough to get it loose.
there are some filters that are stuck in such a bad place this is all you can do if you can turn it by hand. | |
