North central Missouri | I had the same problem as you with a 597. I got tired of fighting it and went and bought a Magnum Research in a 22 mag. If I remember correctly they bought the rights to Rugers actions after they quit making the Mag. It takes standard 10/22 magazines and it has full Hogue over mold stock that I love. Mine is a stainless action with a Nickel barrel. It cycles great and is a tack driver . | |
