Where you have that red circle in the 3rd pic, is that where the tag is supposed to be, along with the "stamped" numbers like you have in pic # 2 ?
I do not have the insulated jacket on the block like pic # 1.
I was carefully brushing / scraping with razor blade the machined spot at 11:00 from pic #3, just under head, and has a threaded hole in lower LH corner, but could not make anything out there either.
Caterpillar 3406B serial number location help needed.
