Subject: RE: shop machinery chop saw

Northwest Ohio
I agree on the dry cut saw however DO NOT get the Northern Tool branded one. I needed one bad and went there and picked one up despite the numerous reviews of the worm gear just being pressed on the motor shaft with no key way and would spin on the motor. Well I got 3 cuts made through my 3x3x1/4 box tube before the motor lost almost all rpm's. Found out real quick why they include an extra set of brushes in the box as the first set came out in crumbles. Replaced them and made 2 more cuts before the motor went to whiring while the blade barely spun. That was it 7 cuts of 3x3 tube it went back to Northern the next day. Guess I shoulda believed the reviews. For what it's worth the did refund my total amount without any hassle. Gonna invest in another at some point just not sure which one yet.
