Built one 8 yrs ago similar to what your thinking. Used a 7200 8x36 and split the rows. After a yr we wanted to go to 20" for spraying but hinges were in the wrong place to make it simple so we bought skinnier tires on spray tractor. Built a 2nd frame that just clears the lift wheels. Went over budget on it after buying a monitor and new harness. Been working good for us. It is just about balanced unfolded. Little negative tongue weight. Folded it puts the weight forward so it doesn't bounce around on the road. Currently looking for something bigger.
