| I was in the same situation a year ago. My son talked me into buying a skidloader. (never thought I needed one with a Cat backhoe and dozer with a 6 way blade). Started with a $10,000 dollar budget like you. Old tired, pins shot or rusty is all I could find. Got to thinking, if I buy one, why not get one that I can use to stack round bales in the barn, handle out chemical shuttles etc. Ended up with a 2014 Case SV250 with 1040 hours. Listed on facebook by a machinery jock. He sent me detailed pics. He bought it of an IronPlanet auction, so it had oil analysis and an inspection done. It needed little things like a seat, good cleanup, but had recent fuel and hydraulic filters. Almost 200 hours and only a coolant hose leak...The plus side it was only $5000 more than a clean 1845C with 4500 hours. | |
