JD 1780’s seem to be about the same price as many 6/11 rows. How practical would it be to take a JD 1780 24/20 or 16/31 and remove the wings then shorten the hitch to make a 10/20” or 13/15”? Either lots of extra parts from the wings or make up a pair of 3pt 7/20”’s. A 7/20” with rows 3 and 5 adjustable by 5” could be used by a small operation for 7/20” beans, 4/30” corn, 3/60” corn and for a limited number of acres of small grains at 14/10” by doubling back with a shifting hitch.
