NW Iowa | It's weird you are not getting any error codes. Since you replaced the pto switch (easiest). I would start looking at your pto control module.
Your signal goes through the pto control module before reaching the auto 4.
Your description of what is all going on is kind of confusing.
I take it engagement acts up on all your selections ( holding the button on 2nd push) and that 1000rpm engagement is intermittent?
I am assuming you checked your row of solenoids, and speed sensors, and everything tested good?
Usually these throw codes though.
If you have a fender pto switch check that, just to rule it out.
I have also seen implements kick out if not calibrated correctly. I'm assuming at this point its not trying to spin.
It's not hard to calibrate the pto, i could walk you through it or have the dealer do it.
IF your dealer comes out, hook up wintest, and see what the CAN system is doing.
Edit- I looked in my book and that fender switch could be acting up also. Check and see how the fender switch functions.
If you have the old one out of the cab swap it with the one in the fender. If that doesn't do it, i would calibrate pto, then check pto control module and auto 5 with wintest. There is also one ground lug all the switches for pto and pto system in the cab CAB73. I would try and find that ground, because the pto switch is tapping ground on and off.
Also just noticed you swapped out the pto control module with another tractor, so that rules the module out.
So you are looking at a calibtration problem maybe
pto ground problem
auto 4 problem or software glitch in auto 4
Check the ground then run wintest
