Also, in regards to terminators....there are generally 2 types used on modern ag equipment-passive and active. Passive terminators are generally just a 120 ohm resistor; while active terminators do use a 12 volt supply and ground. Active terminators are generally used on circuits with more communication than circuits using passive terminators. The active terminators help to control/maintain the CanBus voltage as well as get rid of unwanted messages like a passive terminator does. Termintors can give problems, but so can damaged CanBus wires as well. When the controllers can't see mirror images between CanHi and CanLo wires, they tend to get mad at the world.
