Eastern Ontario, Canada | with so many branches of the canbus on a tractor each ecu branch usually have their own terminator. i have changed them, fixed communication problems, not making up stories here, just trying to help someone who comes along and finds no info on agtalk like i did years ago when i had problems . i have physically found all 9 on my tractor. and Yes CANBUS is simple, and the terminator resistor is very simple tech....
example: two years ago did all spring work leading up to planting, no gps problems, planted for 2 days and then all of a sudden my gps signal was lost, then back, then fine for a while, then gone, everytime it came back it had full signal right away, so knew the globe wasn't loosing power. it was just dissapearing from the display. after looking over everything else possible, hours. it was the terminator on the back of the planter. my terminator at the iso plug on tractor was fine, but when the planter plugged in the iso plug terminator deactivates and the planter terminator takes over. also had problems with 4 terminators on my tractor over the years. | |
