Subject: RE: David Bradley Tractor

S.C. Wisconsin
We had one of those when I was a kid, it had a cultivator attached to it with steel wheel in the rear of the cultivator to stabilize the tractor. The problem with ours it was grossly underpowered to pull the cultivator at any depth. Ours had a cast iron 3hp Briggs engine. Later on we took the cultivator shovels off and attached a homemade trailer to the rear of the cultivator. It was my job every summer to feed our chickens in a brooder house away from the farmstead with this machine. I was able to fine tune that Briggs to get it to idle at a very low rpm. I recall attaching different configurations of metal piping for different exhaust systems. I used to rev it up and pop the clutch to get it to spin the wheels. It was the beginning of my hot rod days. A lot of memories of that old tractor.
