West of Mpls MN about 50 miles on Hwy 12 | Inter-seeding cover crop into standing row crop...no bs.
The ole boy dad bought a farm from hooked a grain drill to a David Bradly, and inter-seeded rye, and clover into 38" row spaced standing corn, and soybeans in a effort to control weeds back in the day. I remember sitting on the rig when it was sold on auction back in 1973.
I have been told by my grandpa, and great uncles that rented the rig and experimented inter-seeding with the rig on their own ground, running the rig in standing corn was a slow, miserable job.
The rig didn't have very many hours when it was sold on auction.
