It is a term that means,
For All
Just recently Congress passed a Omnibus spending bill.
For all.
Bus is often used instead of Omnibus.
School Bus is an example.
Buss bar in a circuit breaker panel is an example.
CanBus
IsoBus
International Standard of Operations, ISO
With these, signals are combined, with different frequencies, run through the same wires.
And then separated out on the other end.
