The thread going to the tractor can be NPT 1/2 or ORB. They do not interchange. IFIC the ORB is "8". If your replacing hoses for all circuits, something which happens periodically on an articulated tractor, get the ORB ends. They are much easier to unscrew. Don't need the gorilla wrench to stop seeping or remove.
