Hate to say it but, anymore anything below 0 basically needs #1.
If you come out of a heated shed it won't be a problem, but if left outside, you need #1.
Especially if you are not doing the blending.

Edit. You also have to blend above gelling point.
If you have fuel heater you can push it more.
