I think that those type of transmissions in tractors are very similar to the car versions. Quite what the benefit is in a tractor over the current array of semi-power shifts, I'm not sureĀ

From what I understand, in the other parts of the world, the Dual Clutch is a better transmission for roading than the Dyna-6/Dyna-7. Meaning, it's a seamless gear change for an operator who doesn't understand tractors.

Don't take my word on that, we also haven't heard if the 3 transmission options will be the same here. I know we will have the Dyna-VT and the Dyna-7, do not know about the dual clutch unit. I think it could be neat, but without all the details on it, not sure exactly how it would work. I did find that it and the Dyna-7 are both 28 speed transmissions.

EDIT: Found some reading on the Dyna-E Power transmission. Looks like a similar unit to the Dyna-7, with a clutch added for the range shift to be able to shift the next range and have it ready. So, seems to me the Dyna-7 will be the entry level transmission, the Dyna-E Power will be the next step up, and the Dyna-VT is, as usual, the premium option. I want to see more about the Dyna-E Power!
