Yeah I think you are correct. I just wish Agco would put that kind of support and warranty behind the Massey name. It seems to me that would one of the very best ways to sell more Massey equipment.
Pay the same price for a MF as you do a FENDT and they can put the same programs with it. That level of customer care costs money, up front.
AGCO knows that you can never make everyone happy. I also know that many people join online forums for one reason, to complain. Yes, some get on to find information, but many join forums to ask for potential problems on things they are looking to purchase, so guess what get's discussed? A few people will talk about good things, some only ever talk about bad things, and some people just read.
At the end of the day, it doesn't matter what machine you are buying, the DEALER makes the difference. FENDT dealers are held to a higher standard, MF dealers can pay the fees, and have a sign and the machines on the lot, no matter if you been to training in the last decade or not. Now, moving forward, that will change on the MF side, as it should...but until then, just because a dealer has a sign and tractors, doesn't mean he knows how to sell it, train you to operated it, and work on it when you need him. That also applies to all colors...
