Cordless Grinder paddle switch
2780-20 Bare tool only
2780-21 Tool, Charger, 1 x 5.0 battery
2780-22 Tool, Charger, 2 x 5.0 batteries
2780-22HD Tool, Rapid Charger, 2 x 9.0 Batteries

If you use the grinder continuously you can overheat the 5.0 batteries, the battery led will flash and the tool will shut down. In my experiance after it cools down the batter will still have around 50 percent charge.

The 9.0 battery will not overheat as easily.
The rapid charger makes charging a 9.0 battery charge in around 1 hour.

I used a wire cup brush to prep some steel before painting. The 5.0 battery ran 10-15 minutes before overheating. I switched to the 9.0 and finished the job. This was in 90 degree weather this past summer. Then only downside is it is quite a bit heavier.

Any M18 battery will run the grinder, it just won't run as fast or as long.
Milwaukee fuel tools talk to the battery and optimize the power curve depending on what battery is being used.

The M12 right angle impact are available in 3/8 or 1/2 drive. Both are rated at 220ft/lbs. They are available with friction ring or pin dentent. Personally I prefer the friction ring style.

They are available in bare tool or a kit with 2 batteries and a charger.

There is an older M18 version but it only has around 30ft/lb of torque.
