The MG3 or whatever is your typical throw away tester. Might be good for a week, a month or years. They aren't any better than the ones of years back and may be worse. Repeatability is the issue. The Mini GAC is quite a bit better as far as repeatability goes. The accuracy is probably better and with some fine tuning you can get them to work pretty well. They are not a 500 series tester so if you wan that type of accuarcy you better just go that route. They tell me the big thing w/ the mini GAC is to keep it in the case and store it in the house.
