I've watched and researched the web on them quite a bit, but curious what people like and dislike about them. I bought a 8735s but have not run it yet.
We are used to Deere RTK, APEX, Operations Center... used on older Challenger and Deere. How painful is it to go to Ag Leader or Trimble and switch to different data management. Digi farm looks to be a reliable option here. Is the Novatel globe included useless if going to RTK and needing another screen? (saving lines, tile lines, and fields are main concern I guess) Or, we could use the Green Fit Reichardt system, though if we are heading into more AGCO stuff down the road, maybe not?
-will ISO system control a Deere strip till and dry rate controller?
-will ISO system control a Deere planter air down pressure?
-we'll be running green S660 combine/row sense, so will keep at least one globe and 2630 probably

Deere is real nice, but the prices scared me away and have a strong Massey presence here (new to me though....) The last new tractor (CaseIH 3594) on our farm was 1987!

We have installed a few GreenFit's the last few years, some in MF 8700S's and some in Versatile 4wd's. If you are Deere now, just do that...your implement and guidance will not even know it's on a Massey and not a Deere. Very slick system.

If you do, you will need to make sure to plug in the extra plug for ground speed on the MF tractor, the GreenFit system does not end GPS speed to the implement controller without it. That was a few hours of head scratching, but Reichardt helped us out once they got the right folks involved.

As for the rest of your questions, if you go GreenFit, they are all moot. The Novatel will not be used for anything if you run GreenFit as well. I have had customers who switch globes around for different field operations keep the Novatel in case they need standard guidance and don't have the globe on at that time, they can just run the MF Guide on the Data 5 display.
