 Thumb of Michigan | From my limited research, most RB spoilage is from the bottom. B-wrap protects the top, so if you use it or not doesn't make sense if you are stacking on the ground. Now, if you are stacking RB on a pallet, stopping bottom moisture migration, then B-wrap on top different story.
At the price of B-wrap, you are just speeding up the 'paying for a hay shed' quicker. This comment comes from the thought process of if you store RB outside, between what you lose in hay value (spoilage) annually, you are effectively paying for a hay shed over time, without the benefit of ending up with building.
