| One of the best strategies I've used to get 1% OM sandy soils up to 2.5 or 3% OM in the short term is to grow winter wheat back to back for two years and possibly three years. You must pencil in a fungicide on year two for sure and definitely year three. I;ve grown 65 bu winter wheat on a beach that could never produce more than 20 bushel spring wheat. Something to think about anyway. You'd have to pencil it out in your situation. | |
