Subject: Re: CRP Ground, plow or chisel

West Central Wisconsin
Either way, be prepared to have a sore back. Every year we rent some ground as it is comming out of CRP and we have tried both.... THis year i broke the hood mount on my MXM 130 trying to disk the plowed sod. It takes time and several passes but if it is not really smooth now you will be happier tearing it up. THE best option is to No-till beans or corn into the sod but like you said, it was not an option. However.. now that i think about it, why not just rip up the rough spots and notill the rest?
