I enjoy looking at your barns and your info how you build them and what works best!

BUT, for the life of me, I don't know how you can afford to build them???

If I had to build building in order to feed cattle, I would have to quit feeding cattle.

I am sure different climates, areas come into play. I live in an area where land is probably a !/3 of the price as Iowa, and much of it can not be farmed because of rocks/hills/ravines, so I am able to build big lots with nice side hills that dry off quickly if any amount of sun and cattle have plenty of room. But, with the price of cattle the last 5 years, it's lucky I didn't get straight A's in math class cause because expenses vs. the profits to not justify or add up.

I am sure my inputs are less then yours, I frequently deal with corn basis of 50-70 cents, I can buy premium alfalfa any day of the week for 100-120/t and other fillers millet/oat/sorghum hay for 50/t. From what I gather you feed similar time frames as myself, start them and then take your time to get them to kill.

Cheers to you for making it work!!!!!!!!!!!!
