Subject: RE: Harvest has changed over the years

Was think the same thing the other night. Was watching the light from
the next field farmed by two brothers that have in the area of 6-10,000
acres. In the field where three combines, newer Masseys, large grain
cart on Fendt tractor and two tandems, Plus a few other lights from
half tons. It looked like a small town.
My guess there was a million dollars plus harvesting the quarter.

On the quarter the other direction was the big new John Deere??? with
two semis

We where running two older gleaner (R50, R72) and two 3 tonnes. Compares
to grandfather's first unit a Massey 21 costing 4400 dollars in
1944 and a 200? dollar truck. Now we are doing 10X the work in quiet AC
and dust free comfort compared to the heat or cold, dust and noise of
the old 21.
