NW Washington | New Holland has been making the CX series walker machine for many years for the European market which has a cylinder, a beater, another tined separator beater and then straw walkers. Before that they had the similar TX series. Those folks harvest mainly cereal crops and often want to save the straw. Rotary combines do not work well in this situation, especially if a lot of damp straw is processed. Rotary combines are great for corn and beans. But not everyone grows corn and beans.
I don't know, maybe this combine is to replace the current CX series and they are trying to use twin separating rotors to get rid of straw walkers. Seems like Fendt and John Deere have endorsed the twin rotor design too, but without a cylinder first bash the crop. I think this link works. Different strokes for different folks.
