The big N requirement in corn comes more in July. Your N will be gone by then in a wet year, or would never have made it into the ground spinning it on top in a dry year, and costs significantly more than 28% bought in the off-season and stored on the farm.
Knifing in 28% liquid N with Instinct puts is in the ground where it is needed, and makes it available later in the season when needed. | |
