You will probably get a ton of answers and only a few will work on your ground.
My soils have enough CEC capacity to hold a seasons worth of N at one time, but sidedress still wins out. I think if you have a way to put the N 2"+ into the ground a little ways off of the row you could get by. That would take either strip-till or a dry fertilizer capable planter, so you may not be able to do that. I would try to bury that N a couple inches under ground if you do try however. | |
