The premium price you will have to pay for ESN over regular urea will more than cover the cost of custom topdressing urea into standing corn. The split applied topdress corn will outyield ESN preplant almost every time. I wouldn't dream of NH3 side dress in my steep, contoured, and small fields but urea topdress is possible in any field.
