What percentage of your time and money do you spend ensuring that you will have a reliable supply of air in the future? I agree that Ag is taken for granted. The reliability of the American Farmer makes that possible. How relevant something is doesn't depend on what would happen in some unlikely theoretical scenario. It is determined by the time, effort, and money that is spent on it right now. The only attention Washington pays to Ag is dropping welfare checks to turn out the votes. My point is not to run down agriculture, it is to make the point that Ag is now more tail than dog in the US economy and we would do well to remember that. | |
