Good points on oil numbers. I disagree on the relevance of agriculture in the United States. It seems irrelevant because we can take it for granted. Stand in food lines or live where you don’t have a Sam’s Club or Costco supply of goods and it becomes more relevant. Our society is just very spoiled when it comes to food supply—-that doesn’t make us irrelevant.

Edit—- the line “The Pentagon sneezes 40 billion before lunch” is hilarious and unfortunately probably true.
