Alaska | Some things in the universe will remain unanswered.
So I made a service call request to NC Machine (not the Gehl rep but a place I have confidence in - actually a CAT dealer). The service person arrives and I explain the issue, point him to where the solenoids are and he proceeds to take his phone to shine some light onto the solenoid as I go up front to demonstrate what happens.
Lo and behold I scare the hell out of both of us (since neither of us was expecting this) as Olga fires right up. No idea what happened after 3 weeks or so of no go, but some lessons going forward:
1) Some things will; never be explained
2) Buying a new battery in summer and it will remain on the maintainer until then
3) Looking for 4 6x6s to raise the roof so if in need I can open the cab in the summer
4) Disabling the seat and safety bar interlock just so I can remove it from any future electrical check list
And lastly I was told that though the wheels will not turn I can drag it out without damaging the powertrain
Thank you again to all who tried to help and a happy Thanksgiving to all from 65 North
