N.E. MT | Hard to see a brand on a haired up cow from a distance. Tags don’t always stay in. A good earmark or wattle can be seen from 100 yards or so. Makes picking through mixed cattle much easier. Just a couple weeks ago we had a weaning mix up with a neighbor. We both weaned to close Together but the weather presented a window. Right at 2500hd of cows were sorted by 6 of us in the pasture in about 4-5 hours. We use a left ear crop. They have a jaw wattle. | |
