I guess I didn’t take his comment as he was at combine capacity, just that he was able to go 1 mph faster than his old machine. Over 6 mph in hills and odd shaped fields can be tricky in our area.
Exactly. I should have explained it better. Yesterday I was going up a hill on a side slope and the tailings would overrun the lower side if I pushed it too hard. On flat ground I was going 7+ mph and still had capacity to spare.
The Gleaner system with the transverse rotor and accelerator rolls work much better on our slopes than the JD or CaseIH designs. Gleaner can handle more slope before overloading the lower side of the shoe. |
