What does the capacity show on the yield monitor? We have a 66 and dealer talking about 96. We have ran around 3000bu per ac in the past and always seem to break something, chain, auger, u-joint, etc. The clean grain system on the 96 has the same parts as our 66. Also think it would be best to go to a 97 for beans.

I have seen as high as 3600bu/hr on that S68 last week...same parts as a S96. We have been pushing over 3000bu/hr for years, I could do it with an R72 if you could keep up with it. The clean grain system is good for about 5000bu/hr in the lab, and I believe the Nebraska irrigated corn guys have seen 45-4700bu/hr in the fields with S97's and S98's

S97 is nice, the extra power comes in handy if you want to push. I have customers with S96's and 40' drapers cutting 4-4.5mph depending on the beans, and I have customers with S97's doing the same or a bit faster....difference is, the S97 kind of grunts when you get in a tough spot, the S96 you better slow down.
