I’m not a Gleaner person but I’m surprised to hear about capacity limitations on a class 6 machine with a 6 row corn head. You mentioned 5 mph on the R66. Shouldn’t a class 6 combine be able to easily handle an 8 row corn head at those speeds, even in corn way over 200 bushels per acre?
You can't drive fast enough with a Gleaner S class 6 and a 6 row.
I was pushing an S68 with a 3312 Command corn head to 4.5mph in 235bu corn yesterday. I wasn't out of power, but I was almost there. I was out of cleaning capacity with the standard chaffer, but we ran out of corn chaffer to swap into this machine.
I hate 6 row headers on new combines, can't keep it fu.
